BIO

Martina Santese is an entrepreneur and cultural projects advisor. She is specialized in planning, design and management of actions co-financed by European funds.

​

She is now working as a project manager of Lirica, an initiative about digitisation and enhancement of Italian opera repertoire and cultural heritage.

​

In 2019 and 2020 she worked for the production office of La Festa di Roma, an event promoted by the Administration of Rome in order to celebrate the New Year’s Day.

​

In 2019 and 2018 she was the venue manager of Casa del Jazz, one of the main cultural institutions in Rome.

​

In 2017 she had a consulting assignment at Musica per Roma Foundation for the conception and management of Patrimonio in Musica, a festival that took place in the UNESCO heritage sites of the Lazio region.

​

In the same year she was the production and director assistant of Don Giovanni OperaCamion, an opera production by Rome Opera House Foundation.

​

From June to September 2016 she works as an executive producer of the first edition of Sere d'Arte a Castel Sant'Angelo, a festival of music and theater promoted by Polo Museale del Lazio as part of the enhancement activities issued by the Italian Ministry of Culture.

​

In 2015 and 2016 she was the chief editor of Vincenzo Bellini Opera House in Catania.

​

Still in 2015 and 2016 she works on the conception and executive production of Tivoli Festival, an initiative supported and promoted by Lazio Region and produced by Musica per Roma Foundation.

​

For La Stanza delle Rose Association he designed and directed Jeux d'Art, Villa d'Este International Festival, a project carried out from 2006 to 2014 and supported by: Italian Ministry of Culture, Italian Ministry of the Interior, Lazio Region, Metropolitan City of Rome, Municipality of Tivoli.

​

For the Ministry of Culture (Lazio Regional District) she coordinates the musical activities of Franz Liszt, un abate a Villa d’Este, celebrations organized in 2011 for the Franz Liszt Birth Jubilee.

​

Since 2006 she has been working for Sigismund Thalberg International Study Centre for which she designs a series of initiatives in order to promote and enhance the historical presence of the Austrian pianist in Naples. Among others we mention: Sigismund Thalberg International Piano Competition, a piano competition that takes place every two years in Naples; ThalbergFest, celebrations for the Sigismund Thalberg Birth Jubilee that took place in Naples in 2012 in collaboration with Italian Ministry of Culture, San Carlo Opera House, Naples Music Conservatory and Vanvitelli University.
